Long Barn, CA...CHP is reporting that a reporting party stated that he hit a deer. One can assume it was with his vehicle but that is not explicitly stated. So please use caution in the area for a probable vehicle vs deer collision but there is always the small possibility that inter species fisticuffs are underway in the area as well.

Sonora, CA...For the first time in Tuolumne County (“To-All-O-Me”) Don Pedro Lake will host the Wild West Bass Pro/Am. Sponsored by the Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau this event will take place March 2-4 and is expected to bring in over 200 professional and amateur anglers. Located in the heart of Gold Country and the gateway to Yosemite, Don Pedro is the sixth-largest reservoir in California and is packed full of Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Spotted Bass making it a prime location for the pro/am.

Jamestown, CA...A deputy driving in the area of Hwy 108 and O’Byrnes Ferry Road in Jamestown stopped his patrol car yesterday morning, when he noticed something strange. There were two people sleeping inside a black Mercedes in the middle of the lane, while the car was still in drive. The car was immobile because it was on an uphill slope, but it was still a quite dangerous situation.

Sonora, CA...On Saturday, January 27, 2018, at approximately 5:45 pm, 62 year old Sonora resident, Dale Zgraggen, was driving his 2007 Toyota Prius eastbound on Phoenix Lake Road east of Meadow Brook Drive. 61 year old resident, Judy Kellerman, was driving her 2004 Toyota Land Cruiser westbound on Phoenix Lake Road approaching Zgraggen's location. At this time, a large deer with big antlers leaped out from the right shoulder directly into the path of Zgraggen's Prius.

Conspiracy to Commit Grand Theft Lands Valley Group in Jail |

Sonora, CA...On January 30, 2018, around 3:30 PM, Sonora Police Officers responded to a report of a theft in progress at Save Mart (1045 Mono Way). The reporting party relayed to Sonora Police Dispatch that two white male adults and one female adult stole alcohol and baby formula from the Mono Way Save Mart. After stealing the items, the three suspects were seen getting into a white pickup truck where a male driver appeared to be waiting. Two of the suspects were also observed entering and exiting Ross Dress for Less. The vehicle then left the parking lot onto eastbound Mono Way. The vehicle description was broadcasted to responding officers who observed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The occupants were identified as Maura Rose Aherne, 26 of Modesto, Brandon Jacob Dominguez, 22 of Modesto, Joseph Krueger, 33 of Turlock and Christopher Ryan Rocha, 23 of Modesto.

Minor Injuries in Collision & Reckless Driving Charges for Groveland Man |

Groveland, CA...On Saturday, January 27, 2018, at approximately 10:36 am, 67 year old Groveland resident, David Webster, was driving his 2006 Subaru Outback westbound on Old Priest Grade. Webster overtook a slower moving vehicle traveling at or near the speed limit of 25 miles per hour. Webster decided to pass the other vehicle over the double yellow lines on a guardrail-protected left curve that was posted with a 15 mile per hour cautionary sign. Webster accelerated to 35 miles per hour or faster as he unlawfully passed the other vehicle.

Disturbance at Railtown Motel Leads to Arrest on Drug Charges |

Jamestown, CA...Yesterday morning, Deputies responded to the Railtown Motel in Jamestown regarding a person who was out of control and yelling at the manager. When deputies arrived, 39-year-old Joshua Kaufman and his friends were being asked to vacate the motel per management.

Falling Asleep Behind Wheel of Stolen Vehicle Leads to Arrest |

Jamestown, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Dept....It is not a good idea to fall asleep behind the wheel, especially if you are in a stolen vehicle. On Friday night deputies and medical personnel responded to the Chicken Ranch Casino parking lot in Jamestown for a report of an unresponsive man in the driver’s seat of a white 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. Several bystanders had pounded on the window of the truck in an attempt to wake the man but were unsuccessful.
