San Andreas – The Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) announces the retirement of Mike Noonan as Unit Chief, effective July 2011. Brian Kirk was named Unit Chief and started August 1, 2011. Brian has over 29 years in the fire service. He began his career in El Dorado County in 1982 as a volunteer firefighter at the Cameron Park Fire Department. He then worked as a Firefighter, Fire Apparatus Engineer, Captain Paramedic and Fire Marshal for Cameron Park when he started with CAL FIRE through a Cooperative Fire Protection Agreement...

Paloma, CA...CAL Fire states playing with fire was the cause of a 2 acre vegetation fire that occurred in September 15th at the 4100 Block of Paloma Road in Paloma. No Injuries occurred. Estimated dollar damage is $400. CAL Fire report is enclosed.... |
