California State Parks Block Vehicle Access to Additional Parks to Slow Spread of COVID-19 |

Sacramento, CA... California State Parks announced it is temporarily closing vehicle access to 59 additional state parks and beaches to avoid dangerous visitation surges and help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). This brings the total number of state-operated parks and beaches closed to vehicle access to 98. A list of closures can be found online at www.parks.ca.gov/FlattenTheCurve.

Angels Camp Parks Closed In Response to COVID 19 |

Angels Camp, CA...In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the City of Angels has closed public parks within the city limits effective immediately. This closure is in effect until further notice. It is prohibited to use the playgrounds, picnic tables or other park equipment. Restrooms are locked and will remain locked until the parks re-open.

(Yes! King is 103! King's daughter told us King was VERY happy and excited when he saw this sign outside his residence at Foothill Village. You all made his day!!!! The Angels-Murphys Rotary Club appreciates your thoughtfulness, your work, and the efforts it took to make this happen. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! San Andreas, CA...Calaveras County Public Health Officer Issues Local Order and Emergency Regulations To protect the health and well-being of all people living in Calaveras County, the Calaveras County Public Health Officer is ordering that all individuals living in Calaveras stay home, except as needed to maintain essential business and governmental operations. This order goes into effect immediately. This order is in place until further notice.

Arnold, CA...One of the pleasures of living in the mountains is the constant visual changes for the seasons and even the time of day. The Narnia look in the photos below out our window will change when the sun hits to something possibly even better. This virus will fade and when it does we hope that we retain the realization that we are truly all in this together even if the paths we trod are at times solitary. We hope you enjoy the view from our office this morning.

Vallejo, CA...USDA Forest Service appreciates the public's interest in outdoor recreation, particularly in light of current events. The Pacific Southwest Region of the Forest Service, in response to the recent statewide shelter-in-place order issued by the Governor of California, is joining the cause to aggressively mitigate the spread of COVID-19 by closing developed recreation facilities on our National Forests statewide.

San Andreas, CA..Calaveras County Public Health Officer Order Clarification of Governor's and State Health Officer's "Stay-at-Home" Order as Related to Lodging Facilities, March 26, 2020. WHEREAS, a state of emergency has been declared by the State of California, and local emergencies have been declared in Calaveras County in response to the virus COVID-19; and WHEREAS, in Calaveras County, as well as throughout California and the nation, there are insufficient quantities of critical healthcare infrastructure, including hospital beds, ventilators and workers, capable of adequately treating mass numbers of patients at a single time — should the virus spread unchecked; and
