A Sad Day for the Nichols Pack |

Arnold, CA....Please keep the Peg and Rog Nichols in your thoughts as their dog Rion had to be put down today, 3 months, 3 weeks after they had to put Ali down, both had cancer. "Our hearts are broken, Rog's tears are something to see. These dogs got me out of my depression from the loss of my profession and health. They got me out of bed and back on my feet for 4 mile walks a day. Now, I know we have to go on without them...but, it hurts so much."

Arnold, CA...Stop by the CHS Thrift Store Adoption Center in Arnold this week, Thurs - Sat., 10-5pm. Located in the Meadowmont Shopping Center next to Round Table Pizza - Phone 209-795-GIVE. Exotic! We think NEENAH may be part "Egyptian Mau". Her unique black liner and silver coat is reminiscent of the Mau. If so, they are considered to be active, intelligent, loyal & devoted kitties. She also appears to have a bit of Torbie in her because there are faint areas of pale orange in her coat. Neenah draws "oooos and aahhhs" at the Adoption Center! She needs to be an indoor cat. A caring ......

Happy Memorial Day Weekend, SNAC'ers! We hope you have some hiking or paddling planned for this weekend and that we'll be seeing you. We just transformed our Arnold Kayak & Canoe Showroom and our Summer Rental Department is up & running! Yes, this weekend you can take a Stand Up Paddle Board out on the lake and try a new sport! Arnold, CA.....The Arnold Friends of the Library will hold a book sale and raffle Memorial Day weekend May 28 and May 29 at the Arnold Library Books and raffle tickets will be on sale from 9:00am to 4:00pm each day. A large quantity of paper back books will be available for fifty cents apiece. Hard backs are one dollar. Raffle tickets are one dollar each or six for five dollars. Raffle selections include a Season Pass at Bear Valley, a Cord of Firewood, A discount at Black Bear Inn, A Spa Package from local vendors including massage and pedicure, a Souvenir Basket of quality goods from Hawaii, a custom made redwood plant stand with plants, and many other quality products.....
