San Andreas, C.A….Thirteen may be a lucky number for the Mountain Oaks varsity girls basketball team; the Mountain Oaks Eagles of San Andreas reached their 13 –game winning streak in La Grange yesterday, which was, oddly enough, Feb. 13th. Mountain Oaks began the game strong scoring 8 points in the first quarter. Don Pedro scored 2. In the third quarter Don Pedro scored 7 points, followed.....

San Andreas, C.A…..The Calaveras High School varsity girls basketball team suffered a 39-76 loss against Linden Tuesday, Feb. 12th, but enjoyed victory last week with a 45-40 win over Argonaut….….

Angels Camp, CA...We had the pleasure to chat for a few minutes with The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce's Executive Director, Diane Gray. One of the big pushes for the Chamber this year will be Economic Development and bringing additional jobs to the county. The Chamber is meeting with Calaveras County Board of Supervisors Chair, Steve Wilensky next week. A Supervisor's Study Session will be held at a later date on Economic Development. This will enable what everyone can do to enhance the economic vitality of our area....

San Andreas, CA...The 2007 Open Garden Days proved to be a winner for Master Gardeners and the public. First opening on the fourth Saturday of February, 2007 the public response was immediately positive and grew as the program became more widely publicized. When the garden closed last November, over 1,000 visitors had been to the garden to gain more information on a variety of gardening topics.....
