Arnold, CA...It was another great slice of small town Americana at this years Arnold Independence Day parade. We have been playing the parade video on our morning show but we hadn't processed the photos or gotten the whole thing posted until now. GABA and their large group of community volunteers that all rally around for the first Saturday in July to make sure the event celebrates our nation's birthday every year. Their are over 120 parade photos and full parade video. We would also like to thank Cedar Creek Realty for sponsoring the parade. They have been our parade sponsor since 2006. Prevailing southeast winds up to 10 mph shifting to the southwest in the afternoon. Tonight, Clear, cooler. Lows 47 to 62 higher elevations...60 to 70 lower elevations. Prevailing southwest winds up to 10 mph shifting to the southeast after midnight. Gusts up to 25 mph.

Alpine County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close eastbound and westbound State Route 4 (SR-4) from Hermit Valley to SR-89 for the Tour of the California Alps bicycle ride. The route will be closed Saturday, July 8, 2017, from 5:00 a.m. until 3 p.m. Motorists should seek alternate routes.

Calaveras County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform one-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound State Route 4 from Upper Moran Road to Calaveras Big Trees State Park entrance for construction activities. Work will begin Monday, July 10, 2017, through Friday, July 14, 2017, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Motorists should expect 10 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

Arnold CA - Paula was a lifelong resident of Calaveras County. She was born in San Andreas and raised in Angels Camp. She attended Mark Twain Elementary and Bret Harte High. After graduating high school she worked at Hydrox Inc., Big Tree’s Market, Tim Magnusun DDS, and Mark Twain Hospital. Paula enjoyed cooking, painting, being a Nonna to granddaughter Ada, being around family and friends most of all.
