La Grange, CA...Want to have a real small town, down home Western experience? The La Grange Rodeo Sunday March 29th is for you. It's a full day, with slack roping and riding events starting 8 AM Sunday morning. Get there around noon to see the Rodeo Queen crowning ceremony. Best be in your seats before 1 PM when the Grand Entry begins at the La Grange Rodeo Arena, overlooking the Tuolumne River canyon, east of town on Hwy 132. You'll see bull riding, bareback and saddle bronc riding, team roping and calf roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, and of course the rodeo clowns. Then there's the goat scramble for kids 8 and under. Catch the goat and you keep it! You'll find plenty of food and refreshments to sample and lots of Cowboy and Cowgirl gear to help you put on the style...

Murphys, CA...My name is Nicole Collum. My husband Larry Collum, my son Andrew and I went to Irish Days with our English Bulldog "Tank." Tank was a hit!! Everybody just loved him and we got stopped dozens of times for people to take pictures with him and pet him and love him. He was really the celebrity bulldog there. This is Tank with the famous leprechaun and my husband Larry.



Here is Tank all dressed up for the day!

San Andreas, CA...Mountain Melody Women's Chorus is celebrating ten glorious years of song! The group that brings soulful harmonies and sublimely blended vocals to the foothills is pleased to present a program of fabulous fan favorites, new songs and even a world premier of an original composition from one of our members. Among the songs being revised are a moving a cappella version of "Amazing Grace," a jazzy rendition of "Puttin' on the Ritz," and "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square," as well as a medley of tunes from the famous vocal jazz group Manhattan Transfer. Member Lee Davis has written "The Mokelumne River Song," a reverent ode to the beautiful roving river as part of the Amador County Arts Council "River Reflections" celebration. The 24 voice choir will be singing these songs and many other favorites at three special performances this spring....
