The wine was styled in a big, bold way like nobody else could do. That's what makes us Black Sheep; we're different from the rest of the flock. We feature small batches of limited release wines handcrafted from high quality grapes grown in Calaveras and Amador Counties. We produce about 2,500 cases of wine per year, specializing in Zinfandels and Rhone varietals.

Murphys, CA...Hovey Winery is excited to welcome long time Murphys resident and Hovey Wine Club member Terri Wilson. Terri has been producing art for a number of years. Her preferred mediums are oils and acrylics, although she is adept with watercolor, pastel and graphite. Terri has studied under the tutelage of many talented artists including Carolyn McPhearson, Jill Figler, Martha Wallace, Milt Kobayashi and Diana Boyd.

Every week a new and special combination of Tanner family wines are offered in different flights, wines by the glass and by the bottle. Weekly flights may include selections from Tanner library wines or a "vertical" of outstanding vintages. Tanner Vineyards' tasting room is located at 435 Main Street, across from Murphys Historic Hotel.
