Mountain Ranch, CA.. Mountain Ranch Youth Alliance has just finished holding it's 1st online auction to raise much needed funds for our Food Bank in conjunction with our live event last Saturday, September 15th. We need your support! Although we did not raise the amount needed, we appreciate everyone who did bid and provide us with items to auction. We are now preparing for our next auction in to be held in December and we're asking you to participate in one of the following ways...

Angels Camp, CA...You can still call and make a reservation to join us on Friday, September 21, 2012 for a Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Business Luncheon at Camps Restaurant in Greenhorn Creek, Angels Camp. The guest speaker will be Rico Oller, local business owner and former California State Assemblyman. Rico will provide an update on current conditions and his view on the state government. There will also be a brief presentation from PG&E about the switch to Time & Use Rates. A delicious lunch will be served, the cost is $20 per person. Arnold, CA...Stop by Calaveras Humane Society's Thrift Store Adoption Center in Arnold, located in Meadowmont Center next to Big Trees Market (Phone 209-795-GIVE). We'll be open THURS. - SAT., 10-5. We will have approximately 11 kitties available to meet you this week. We are currently having our September BLACK CAT-A-THON! The adoption donation for cats & kittens who are at least 75% black is only $25 this month, which includes Black & Whites/Tuxedos & Tortoiseshells. Only two weekends remain before the special ends, so if you fancy beautiful black cats and have ever considered adopting one, don't miss out. We may have just the kitty for you!

San Andreas, CA...On September 26th and September 27th between 8a.m. and 5p.m., Calaveras County Public Works Road Crew will have Hawver Road closed for paving between Gold Strike Road and Doster Road. During this time period, Hawver Road will be closed to all traffic..

CUSD Info on Gas Leak Near and Evacuation of San Andreas Elementary School |

| San Andreas, CA...San Andreas Elementary School was evacuated this afternoon due to a gas leak on Neilsen and Goldstrike Road. The fire department issued the evacuation around 1:40 p.m.. The San Andreas students walked with staff to the Calaveras High School football field. The buses normally routed to San Andreas were routed to Calaveras High to pick up the San Andreas students. The San Andreas students who walk home from school are being held at the Calaveras High School football field because we are not sure they will be able to access their homes due to the evacuation. .. |

Mokelumne Hill, CA...Crews are busy removing a tree that has gone down across lanes of Hwy 26 near Campo Seco Turnpike. Caltrans has a tree crew enroute. Please use caution and expect delays in the area..
