Bear Valley, CA....Bear Valley is wrapping up the 2013/14 Season this weekend with a full slate of events. Enjoy the ride, races & Easter Celebration! Enjoy the FUN on the last day of the season on April 20th! Easter is always tons of fun at Bear Valley so be sure to make plans to join us. Easter Sunday will be the last day of the season so bring the kids and come enjoy one last day on the mountain. Lots of fun activities on Sunday. We kick off the morning with Easter Bag Decorating (so you don't need to bring one, but you can), followed by our fabulous Easter egg hunt....

Arnold, CA ... More than 100 people filled "The Hub" and spilled out onto the deck to hear a presentation from Dan Cross Development, the company hired by Dollar General Store to site, plan and build a 9100 square foot building in Arnold, CA. The building site, a thickly forested, commercially zoned lot is on the south side of highway 4 east of the intersection with Lilac Drive. The developer said that the site is currently under contract to purchase. He also said that CalTrans ingress and egress traffic issues had been resolved. Revamped architectural elevations and site plan were presented. The plans are a departure from the recognizable standard Dollar General Stores. The developer said, "The goals is to be recognizable as a Dollar General Store, to be affordable to develop and to be acceptable to the residents. We included elements of the new Arnold Fire Station in the current reiteration."

The day kicks off with a pond skimming exhibition. Wild & Crazy Costumes are encouraged (let’s keep ‘em PG13!) and get ready for a big splash!

Bear Valley, CA ... In partnership with the Stanislaus National Forest Bear Valley Mountain is conducting a Instructor Hiring Clinic on Saturday, April 12 8:30am-Noon in the Snow Sports Meeting Area in front of the Sun Room. Strong skiers and snowboarders with an interest in sharing the thrill of skiing and snowboarding with others are encouraged to attend. The cost: $10 (free for season pass holders) and include a all-day lift pass. The is an opportunity to learn about instructor positions for 2014/15.
