The dinner is set for Sunday, April 27th at 4:30 p.m. at the Native Sons Hall located at 389 Main St. in Murphys. Our mission is to elect Democrats. Angels Camp, CA...We had the pleasure to spend about 30 minutes with Supervisor District 4 Candidate and current Angels Camp City Councilman, Lee Seaton. Mr. Seaton has served on the Angels Camp City Council for 6 years and would like to apply his experience to county. Lee spent many of his professional years with Hewlett Packard before retiring in 2000. Mr. Seaton believes strongly that while we plan for the future we need to protect our historic rural heritage. Our interview runs just under 30 minutes and is enclosed...

Angels Camp, CA....We had the pleasure of "Live" streaming todays City of Angels Presentation on Retail Economic Development which started at 3pm and went until about 5pm....The Replay will be up later in case you missed it....On Tuesday, April 8, 2008 the City of Angels will host a presentation on Retail Economic Development. Amy Wetzel with the Buxton Company will discuss various economic development strategies, ranging from small retailers to more traditional approaches with national chains. The presentation will be held at the Angels Firehouse (1404 E. Highway 4) at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday April 8th. Refreshments will be served. Members of the public are encouraged to attend. Carol Hogan and Ed McJunkin hosted an innovative approach to introducing friends and neighbors to Lee Seaton, candidate for the Calaveras Board of Supervisors representing the Fourth District. San Andreas, CA....Our BOS will be meeting on Tuesday April 1st at 9am. Some of the agenda items being discussed will be RESOLUTION amending the 2007/2008 budget for the Department of Agriculture along with a BUDGET TRANSFER in conjunction therewith (requires 4/5 vote); Environmental Management Agency/Department of Agriculture - Board action: RESOLUTION to appoint Bruce R. Child, Jr. as Calaveras County Surveyor retroactive to September 27, 2004; Public Works - Board Action: RESOLUTION authorizing Board Chair to sign Standard Agreement 07-0705 between the County and CDFA/Skeletonweed and approving a BUDGET TRANSFER (requires 4/5 vote) adjusting the fiscal year 2007/2008 budget for the Department of Agriculture; Environmental Management Agency/Department of Agriculture - Board action: MINUTE ORDER to approve 1) a contract with VESTRA to amend existing scope of services by $7,824 and extend the contract date until June, 2008 for technical development and editing of GIS layers in conjunction with the UPLAN project; 2) a new contract with VESTRA to provide GIS data development in conjunction with UPLAN modeling for the general plan update, in the amount of $15,600; and 3) a BUDGET TRANSFER, in the amount of $23,424 (requires 4/5 vote) to increase revenues and expenditures for the project; Community Development Agency......
