Calaveras Transit Bus Involved in Non-Injury Incident

Murphys, CA...At approximately 12:45 p.m. a Calaveras Transit bus slid off of Highway 4 near Forest Meadows. There were no injuries and no passengers on board at the time of the incident with minimal damage to the vehicle. Due to the continuing inclement weather and dangerous road conditions, Calaveras Transit has suspended Service to Arnold (Blue Line) until further notice.

This action targets the deceptive shipping practices that have enabled the Kim regime to fund its dangerous weapons programs. Our actions target shipping and trade companies, vessels, and individuals across the world who we know are working with North Korea’s behalf. Specifically, we are sanctioning 27 entities, 28 vessels, and 1 individual, all involved in sanctions evasions schemes.

Attorney General Becerra Establishes Bureau of Environmental Justice

Sacramento, CA...California Attorney General Xavier Becerra today announced that he is establishing a Bureau of Environmental Justice (Bureau) within the Environment Section at the California Department of Justice. The Bureau’s mission will be to protect people and communities that endure a disproportionate share of environmental pollution and public health hazards. This will be accomplished through oversight, investigation, and enforcement of the law. The Bureau’s attorneys will work primarily with attorneys in the Environment Section handling environmental enforcement matters on behalf of Attorney General Becerra. They will also coordinate with and utilize the expertise of other sections within the Attorney General’s Office, as needed.

Washington, DC...After the deadly mass murder in Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 1, 2017, I asked my Administration to fully review how the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives regulates bump fire stocks and similar devices. Although the Obama Administration repeatedly concluded that particular bump stock type devices were lawful to purchase and possess, I sought further clarification of the law restricting fully automatic machineguns.

She has lived in District 3 for 30 years, and is a member of local organizations from White Pines Park to Murphys Community Club. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Secondary Teaching Credential from the University of San Francisco. Her daughter, Brianna, is a graduate of Avery Middle School and Bret Harte High School.
