San Andreas, CA...CHP is reporting a minor injury injury accident with ambulance responding. There is a big rig blocking the lane at Hwy 49. Please use caution in this area. An 18 year old woman from San Andreas suffered minor injuries this morning after her vehicle hit a tree. Due to her wearing a seatbelt and the air bag, serious injuries were prevented. Three More Escaped Debris Burns Reported in Calaveras County |

Calaveras County, CA....CAL Fire has reported three more escaped debris burns that have spread to small vegetation areas. They are reporting one on April 28th at 4623 Jaquima Drive that spread to 1/4 acre of vegetation. No dollar damage or injuries reported. The next is one that occurred in Jenny Lind at 9765 Shalimar Drive on April 28th. CAL Fire is stating the cause is due to lack of clearance, fire escaped and burned 1 acre of grass and part of a wooden fence. Dollar damage is $200. The third occurred in Railroad Flat at 607 Railroad Flat Road on April 28th. This fire spread to 1/4 acre of vegetation only with no dollar damage reported. FULL CAL Fire Reports are enclosed.....

Valley Springs, CA....Mary Jane Poulk, 72 of Wallace is the name of the deceased that perished at the scene of a motor vehicle accident after striking a tree on Saturday afternoon in Valley Springs. Our thoughts and prayers go out to this family. Full CHP release is enclosed... |

Spontaneous Combustion of a Bag of Fertilizer and Potting Soil Cause Fire in Tuolumne County |

Tulolumne County, CA....Spontaneous combustion of a bag of fertilizer and potting soil caused a fire on April 27th at 9061 Fraguero Road at Hwy 49. The deck of the structure was a total loss. There was also some damage to the exterior of the residence near the deck. Total estimated dollar damages is $4500. No injuries were reported. Full CAL Fire report enclosed......

Valley Springs, CA...CHP is reporting a solo vehicle roll over fatality this afternoon in Valley Springs at Camanche Parkway at Crystal. It looks like a conversion van went off the roadway then rolled over. The driver apparently perished at the scene. We will keep you posted as we know more. Our thoughts and prayers go out to this family at this very difficult time. We have not received the name of the deceased as of 11:45pm this evening due to contacting next of kin. We will let you know as soon as we do.

Angels Camp, CA...CAL Fire has sent us the official fire report on the 2 acre vegetation fire that occurred on Thursday afternoon at approximately 4:pm. The official cause is an escaped debris burn that spread to 2 acres of vegetation. No dollar damage or injuries reported. CAL Fire report is enclosed....

CHP is reporting an ambulance is responding to a vehicle collision at Hwy 49 just south of the Mokelumne River. We will keep you posted if needed. This is apparently a minor injury. Thank goodness. |

Angels Camp, CA….Last year the Angels Camp Fire Department in Angels Camp applied for and received a Community Development Block Grant Fund Money from state and federal funding agencies. Angels Camp Fire Department had two engines before receiving the grant money, engine 213 and engine 215. Engine 213 was purchased in 1998 making the engine over ten years old, which needed to be retired as a full time response engine. The department started brainstorming and came up with the idea of purchasing two new engines that could better serve the community during an emergency situation……….

San Andreas, CA... Due to the construction of the new CAL FIRE Twain Harte fire station, CAL FIRE will be issuing dooryard burn permits, evacuation plans, fire safety education materials, and fire hazard self inspection notices at the Twain Harte Chamber of Commerce. The address is 22997 Joaquin Gully Road in downtown Twain Harte. Permits will be available at the Chamber location starting Thursday, May 1st running through Monday, May 12th between the hours of 8:00AM and 5:00PM.
