Murphys, CA...Goldrush Comedy is back at the Murphys Creek Theatre Join us for the next all-star comedy show on April 15th, 2015 as we bring the best comedians from the Bay Area, Sacramento & Fresno to the "Queen of the Sierras", Murphys, California Door open at 8pm, showtime is at 8:30pm. There's a $3 cover charge; beer & wine is available at the bar. The comedy is rated for mature audiences, so this event is 18+. There will be an open mic after the show: all performers of all types (singer / songwriters, poets, comedians) are invited to "show up & get up". Sign ups for the open mic start at 8pm...

Angels Camp...Studio 4 Dance Theater’s Spring Showcase 2015 promises to be the most exciting and ambitious yet, with dances ranging from contemporary ballet to hip hop. The Spring Showcase has only two performances: 7pm, Friday, May 1, and 3pm, Saturday, May 2, 2015, at the Bret Harte Theater in Angels Camp, and is appropriate for all ages. April 18 is the eighth annual Mr Frog’s Wild Ride, a magical springtime cycling tour through Calaveras County that doubles as a fundraiser for Feeney Park in Murphys, a 15 acre community sports and recreation facility featuring a skate park, disc golf course, outdoor amphitheater, picnic areas and playing fields. Choose from a 50k or 100k ride with SAG support and plenty of snack stops along the way. A barbecue and finish party – with an included massage – make a great way to celebrate a great ride. This year’s route will showcase the southwestern end of the county with the poppy-studded hillsides of New Melones and the majestic oaks along Red Hill Road. Murphys, CA...Chef Rob from local Murphys restaurant “Rob’s Place” is going to teach a cooking class for us here at Marisolio! We are so excited to have Rob in house. Rob has years of experience, most recently (before opening his own restaurant) he was Chef at Ironstone Winery and taught their cooking classes as well. He is well known for his appetizers, soups, sandwiches and all around fabulous cooking. Murphys has been abuzz with praise for his new restaurant “Rob’s Place”. Rob will share some recipes for two appetizers, several salad dressings, a soup and a quick dessert. Do join us for this outstanding class offering from Marisolio Tasting Bar!
