Angels Camp, CA...(Frogtown, USA)...The Friends of the Calaveras County Fair held a Hoe-down, Show-down. The Whiskerino Dinner Dance on April 23. We had this article sitting in our draft folder for awhile and sorry it didn't see the light of day until now. The dinner dance is the official kick off event leading up to the Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee May 19-22.

Copperopolis, CA....Epic Worlds & Games held their Grand Opening yesterday and is now up and running in Copperopolis Town Square. They carry all types of Card and Board Games! From the Classics to the latest and greatest. They also carry Miniatures and have an amazing display of terrain and gaming boards for all your wargaming needs. All ages are welcome and they have free games to play and tables set up for anyone to come in and enjoy themselves. We had the pleasure to speak with Jimmy yesterday about his business.

Copperopolis, CA....The 16th Annual Hot Copper Car Show, to be held May 7rd at the Copper Town Square on Highway 4 in Copperopolis, is now one of the largest hot rod and custom car shows in the Mother Lode. The car show brings thousands of car enthusiasts and spectators to the beautiful hills of the Mother Lode the first Saturday of May each year. The Lake Tulloch Lions Club sponsors the show with all proceeds going to benefit the community through scholarships, support for local services and local nonprofit organizations. It is made possible through sponsors from Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties and participating classic car owners. Admission for the public is free!

Saturday, 7th May 2016, will be the annual Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Posse, Mother Lode Round-Up Parade. This event will bring thousands of visitors to downtown Sonora. Several streets will be closed before and during the parade including parts of State Highway 49. People need to plan ahead if they are attending the parade or trying to get through town during the parade. Detours will be posted for those streets which will be closed. The following are the major street and highway closures before and during the parade
