Boil Water Notices Issued to 800 Customers in Rancho Calaveras |
Posted by: thepinetree on 07/02/2019 05:46 PM
|
Rancho Calaveras, CA...Update 9 a.m. Tuesday July 2: There has been concern among CCWD customers in Rancho Calaveras that their water supply is contaminated. To address this concern, we would like to remind our customers that this boil water notice was issued out of an abundance of caution following a major leak repair. While it is highly unlikely that anything harmful entered the water supply, the State requires water suppliers to issue boil water notices when water pressure drops below a certain level, and CCWD is complying with this regulation. The notice will be lifted once precautionary testing has been completed for two consecutive days.

"Moon Over Buffalo" Continues on at Murphys Creek Theatre |
Posted by: thepinetree on 06/30/2019 10:23 AM
|
Murphys, CA...“The Show Must Go On!” In Murphys Creek Theatre’s 2019 summer production. In Ken Ludwig’s MOON OVER BUFFALO, all character stop at nothing to live up to that infamous phrase. The play follows George and Charlotte Hay, fading stage and film stars of the 1950s. At the moment, they're playing Private Lives and Cyrano De Bergerac in rep in Buffalo, New York… with only five actors. On the brink of a disastrous split-up caused by George's dalliance with a young ingénue, they receive word that they might just have one last shot at stardom: Frank Capra, Mr. Hollywood himself, is coming to town to see their matinee, and if he likes what he sees, he might cast them in his movie Twilight of The Scarlet Pimpernel. Unfortunately for George, Charlotte and their devoted company manager Paul Singer, everything that could go wrong does go wrong. The chaos is aided by a visit from their daughter, Roz, her clueless fiancé and hilarious uncertainty about which play they're actually performing. Adding more fuel to the comedic fire is Charlotte’s deaf, stage manager Mother who despises George with every fiber of her being.

Jamestown, CA...Ride behind a historic steam or diesel locomotive on a train trip through California’s scenic Gold Country. Your 6-mile, 45-minute roundtrip train ride will take you past the water tower from Petticoat Junction, and transport you from the backyards of Jamestown to the rugged hillsides of California’s Mother Lode country. At the end of the line (Rock Spur), your train will pause as the locomotive uncouples, runs around your car on a side track, then re-couples to the train’s opposite end for the return trip to Railtown.
