Bret Harte Girls Soccer Results vs Amador. Varsity 1-0 in Win & JV 4-1 in Loss

Posted by: thepinetree on 03/21/2014 10:25 AM
Angels Camp, CA...2013 Champion Amador came to Angles Camp Tuesday night to take on Bret Harte for the their first match of the 2014 season. Hard fought battle by both teams, but tonight Amador struggled to breakthrough Bret Hartes solid defense. Bret Harte Sr GoalKeeper Jessica Stohlman had another solid showing with 15 saves. Sophmores Alyx Fairman, Marisa Biagi and Jara Clark led the offensive push with solid play in the middle and at the forward line keeping the pressure on Amador's defense. Amador Keeper Cassidy Donaldson came up with several great saves on the night, but one shot would be the difference. Sr defender Hailey Smoot began the attack taking the ball from the half line into the Amador territory. Smoot passed to Sarah Wilson and Wilson found Jara Clark wide on the left. Clark made a move on the Amador defender then nailed a shot just out of the reach of Donaldson. That goal would be enough as Bret Hartes Defense closed the door on Amador. Amador gave the nod to Bret Harte's Lauran Redding as the key defender on the night....
