Seascape with Sharks and Dancer at Stage 3 Theatre Company |
Posted by: thepinetree on 04/15/2015 07:06 AM
|
Sonora, CA...Seascape with Sharks and Dancer, written by Don Nigro and directed by Hugo F Martinez, opens Friday May 1 and runs until May 31 for Stage 3 Theatre Company in historic downtown Sonora. Ben, played by Modesto actor Travis Blansit, is a young man that lives in a remote beach bungalow. He pulls a lost young woman from the ocean, Tracy, played by Julia Bentley, who finds herself trapped in his life and torn between her need to come to rest and her certainty that all human relationships turn eventually into nightmares. What takes place is a struggle between his tolerant and gently ironic approach to life and her strategy of suspicion and attack. Seascape with Sharks and Dancer is part drama, part dark comedy and at its core, begs the question: Does love really conquer all?
