Valley Springs, CA...Why Pat Garrahan? My family has lived in Calaveras County for 26 years. Kate and I raised our kids here and we are invested in our community. We love Calaveras County. For about the last 40 years I’ve been involved in policing in one way or another. I’ve served as a police officer, a police supervisor, a police commander and administrator. I’ve trained new police officers in the academy, deployed twice to Afghanistan as a Police Subject Matter Expert for Marine Corps infantry battalions, and taught policing as a college professor. Currently, I am the Police Science instructor at Calaveras High School.
Copperopolis, CA...In 1895 James A. Tower was only 16 years old when, using barbed wire fencing, he strung the first telephone line for what was to become The Calaveras Telephone Company. As demands for the telephone service increased, the young Mr. Tower found it necessary to establish a central office in the small community of Felix near the town of Copperopolis. Then in 1899, Mr. Tower, now 20 years old, negotiated an agreement with Sunset Telephone Company that would connect his subscribers by telephone with the rest of the world.
Calaveras High School Drama will be Presenting "Cinderella" April 26-29
Posted by: thepinetree on 04/18/2018 05:56 PM
San Andreas, CA...Calaveras High School Drama is delighted to present Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella," the first full-length musical to take the stage at the Calaveras Performing Arts Center in over three years. The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance. Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA was the most widely viewed program in the history of the medium. As adapted for the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, the hearts of children and adults alike still soar when the slipper fits. Jillian Zahniser appears as the title character, Jared Bisbikis is Prince Topher, Madalyn Myers is Crazy Marie, Brooke Wooldridge is Madame, Jacob Young is Sebastian, Madeleine Hedger is Charlotte, Amaya Halepota is Gabrielle, Jordan Hoyopatubbi is Jean-Michel, and Colton Minehart is Lord Pinkleton. The ensemble includes Anthony Barci, Macy Liotta, Talina Landry, Samantha Leach, Ramon Marquez, Kathryn Frazier, Cleo Osgood, Kyra Allemand, Timothy Kelly, Marco Ortega, and Irene Melendez. Ann Mazzaferro directs, with Mason Anderson as Stage Manager and Cyndie Klorer as Technical Director.
