Stockton Area Gangs Involved in Shootings at Jackson Rancheria This Morning

Jackson, CA...About 5:30am this morning, Stockton area gang members were involved in a shooting of two individuals atJackson Rancheria Casino. One of the young men was shot in the neck and the other was shot in the face. They were flown to area hospitals for treatment. One is said to be 15 years old and the other 18 years old. Security personnel, Amador County Sheriff's deputies and CHP reacted quickly in setting up a perimeter and apprehending five suspects...
Pioneer, CA...Crews are responding to a head-on collision where a hay truck and a vehicle have gotten together. The big rig has overturned and the westbound lane is blocked...

Frogtown, CA...Jeannie Hayward & Mike Kriletich and others were on hand from The Resource Connection to accept an honor from Congressman Lungren on the great job they have done here locally serving their communities. On a previous visit Congressman Lungren had visited their new facility and came away impressed with their operation....

Grief Support Classes Starting In Avery Next Month

Avery, CA...“Hospice of Amador & Calaveras” along with local Attorney and Grief Counselor ,Mike Milward, will be organizing and facilitating a 6 week grief support group to be held at the Avery Middle School Library on Tuesday nights (tentatively starting on 3/16/10) from 6:30 – 8:00pm. It is not a drop in, it is a six week commitment...
Angels Camp, CA...The Bret Harte campus was ground zero for young grapplers this weekend for the Annual AMA Youth Wrestling Tournament of Champions Qualifier. Teams from our surrounding area filled the place to overflowing. Wrestling is definitely "Big Time" here in the Motherlode. The Motherlode Wrestling Association holds a group of three qualifying meets leading up the Championships at the end of February at Columbia College...

Jackson, CA...The high winds yesterday morning resulted in several big rigs being blown over on Hwy 88. The road was subsequently closed until the winds subsided. The accident enclosed was the only one that resulted in injuries....

San Francisco, CA...PG&E has moved their outage information online. You can track how many outages are reported in an area and the number of customers affected. The outage range totals are wide enough to not be much help but it does provide a good idea of their workload in an area. Traffic Alert...A Portion of Highway 88 Closed Due to High Winds

Jackson, CA...The Amador Area of CHP reports that Highway 88 (SR-88) from Lower Ridge Road to the intersection of SR-104 (toward Ione) will be closed due to extremely high winds in the area. The highway will reopen when conditions and winds are safe enough for vehicular travel. State Highway Road conditions can be heard by calling 1-800-427-ROAD (7623) or on the web at www.dot.ca.gov
76 Year Old Pioneer Resident Ruth J. Neal Loses Her Life in Traffic Accident on Hwy 88 (Updated after Notifications)

Pioneer, CA...A 76year Old Pioneer woman Ruth J. Neal lost her life yesterday in a traffic accident on Hwy 88 near Tabeau Rd. It was a 4 vehicle head-on and glancing collision that sent a 38 year old Livermore resident to Sutter Amador for minor injuries. We just checked in the CHP Jackson and they are still awaiting notification of next of kin before the deceased's name can be released. The CHP release is enclosed..
