Stockton, CA...Caltrans and the San Joaquin Regional Public Agency Consortium (SJPAC) are holding a Public Works and Purchasing Showcase on April 6, in the San Joaquin County Robert J. Cabral Agricultural Center, located at 2101 East Earhart Avenue in Stockton.

Sonora, CA...LVNs at Avalon health center in Sonora have filed a petition to join a labor union! We feel are only way to get the care we need for our residents in this community the care they need is by forming this union! We as LVNs are making a stand and are coming together to make a better place for our residents!!

Murphys, CA...April 22nd, Saturday from 8-11 Mind Matters is holding its 6th Annual Off the Beaten Path, Walk/Run for Autism Awareness, A Mind Matters Fund Raiser! This is a fun activity for people of all ages. The event starts in beautiful Murphys Park where we will have music, warm-up group exercises, and face-painting for children and those young at heart! You can walk or run [or hop, skip & jump!] for the 5K distance, but, the 10K will be a timed race. There will be awards for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place for each age group; female and male. Age groups are 0-19 years, 20-39 years, 40-59 years, and 60 years and over.

San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Medical Center has opened a new Specialty Care Center in San Andreas. Dr. Andrew McCoy is now seeing patients there full-time. “Dr. McCoy is an asset to our Specialty Care Center,” commented Bob Diehl, CEO MTMC adding “For the past three years as a General Surgeon he has been providing surgical care along with our team at MTMC in Calaveras County. We are elated that he has most recently been able to increase his availability to further enhance the needs of the community.”
San Andreas, CA...There are several opportunities for Veterans to connect with different agencies, services, and veteran groups in Calaveras County. We are lucky to have some new veteran groups joining our outreaches throughout the Calaveras community area spring of 2017. As well as the Doctor that comes with the VA Palo Alto Health Van, we will have a counselor from Calaveras County Mental Health Dept.
