California State Parks Awards $46 Million in Grants Including $1,202,700 for Twain Harte Meadows Park |

Twain Harte, CA...California State Parks announced a $46.2 million investment to build healthier communities by creating and improving recreational facilities in 25 local parks. Twain Harte R.P.D. will receive $1,202,700 to improve Twain Harte Meadows Park in the Town of Twain Harte by constructing new open space meadow, outdoor pavilion, outdoor water and environment discovery labs, picnic and barbecue areas, cultural and historic stories path with lighting, shade pavilion for bocce courts, parking lot with lighting, and restroom facility.

Bear Valley, CA...The Ebbetts Pass Scenic Byway Association is excited to invite you to join us for our annual celebration on the pass, fondly known as Hermitfest. This year we will be celebrating in the ballfield at Bear Valley with an all-day music festival on Saturday, September 10th, from noon-8 pm (but you know the music will likely continue on a bit later). While we do accept walk-ins, contacting us ahead of time to make your reservation is the best way to ensure that we have a bike ready for you in the correct size and style as soon as you arrive at our shop. If you rent a bike and decide that you can’t live without it, we’ll gladly put your rental fee towards the purchase of a new bike. Take home a new bicycle within 30 days of your bike rental and we’ll credit you up to one week’s worth of rental fees!
