Angels Camp, CA...(Frogtown, USA)...Last year it was Justin Fasano Jockeying "Kermit" as The 2017 Frog Jump Champion. Kermit jumped 18 Feet, 4 Inches for the win. Can the Gustine Frog Team repeat or will local Frog Jumping Dynasties regain the title. Could a newcomer with a few tricks upset the veterans? Tune in at 3pm and see which of the top 50 qualifying frogs will make a jump for the record books. The Live Feed will start a few minutes before the top of the hour.

The top 50 Qualifiers take to the launching pad at 3pm on Sunday to see who will be crowned champion and to see if they can exceed Rosie the Ribbiter's record that has stood since 1986. ThePineTree.net will be livestreaming starting at 2:30pm and in past years we have tracked IP address from all over the world including The UK, Sweden, quite a few from Germany and even one from New Zealand.

Angels Camp, CA...In compliance with the request of a friend of mine, who wrote me from the East, I called on good-natured, garrulous old Simon Wheeler, and inquired after my friend's friend, Leonidas W. Smiley, as requested to do, and I hereunto append the result. I have a lurking suspicion that Leonidas W. Smiley is a myth; that my friend never knew such a personage; and that he only conjectured that, if I asked old Wheeler about him, it would remind him of his infamous Jim Smiley, and he would go to work and bore me nearly to death with some infernal reminiscence of him as long and tedious as it should be useless to me. If that was the design, it certainly succeeded.

Angels Camp, CA...(Frogtown, USA)....Katherine Sharp is the 2018 Calaveras Saddle Queen. Katherine Sharp is a 16 year old Junior at Connecting Waters Charter School. She lives in Mountain Ranch and loves playing the Irish Penny whistle, soccer & raising guide dogs. It was a tough competition and she edged out Emily Bolton for top honors. More to follow...
