Heat Advisory Forces Cancelation of Friday's Angels Camp Farmers Market

Angels Camp, CA...The excessive heat warning that was issued by the U.S. National Weather Service has been extended to 8pm on Friday, September 9th. Due to the warning and also concern for the health and safety of our customers, vendors and volunteers, the ACBA Executive Board has made the decision to cancel this week’s Farmers Market. Please stay cool and safe. We hope to see you on Friday, September 16th when the market returns as our farmers and vendors continue to need your support.

Bear Valley, CA...The Ebbetts Pass Scenic Byway Association is excited to invite you to join us for our annual celebration on the pass, fondly known as Hermitfest. This year we will be celebrating in the ballfield at Bear Valley with an all-day music festival on Saturday, September 10th, from noon-8 pm (but you know the music will likely continue on a bit later). Sonora, CA....It does not feel like it this weekend, but the autumn equinox is fast approaching! As we enter into this season please know that the archery hunt season has begun and rifle hunt season is fast approaching. Hunters are allowed to hunt on Forest lands and in the Emigrant, Mokelumne and Carson-Iceberg Wilderness. It is a good idea to wear bright colors in the forest during this time! Zones D5 and D6 are on the Stanislaus National Forest.
