A good sized crowd was on hand for food, drinks mingling & more at the expanded Bistro Espresso. Mountain Ranch, CA...What is the Stop, Drop & Mud? This race is designed to be a fitness challenge, pitting First Responders (Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement) and Military against the general public. Show us what you’ve got! We are proud to be bringing a mud run to Mountain Ranch this year — the first of its kind! We are planning on approximately 16 obstacles along the route that will range from fire fighter skills to strength and endurance tests. Participants will start and finish at the Mountain Ranch Park in the heart of Mountain Ranch. All participants will receive a 2017 Stop, Drop & Mud shirt.

Angels Camp, CA...(Frogtown, USA)...Seven accomplished young women from across Calaveras County will compete for the title of Miss Calaveras County 2017 at 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 18 at the 2017 Miss Calaveras County Scholarship Pageant. These young women will participate in four phases of competition, including a personal interview, a health and fitness demonstration, a talent segment, and an evening gown speech.
