Hey Good People! Come on Up & Get Yer Turns In! ~ Mattly Trent

Posted by: thepinetree on 01/07/2018 12:11 PM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Let’s talk weather…… We will be closed for all Mtn Operations on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th of January. We will reopen Wednesday January 10th. A mix of sunshine and clouds will be on tap for Bear Valley today as the high will be around 45F with ESE winds from 8-10mph. As the weather system heads East another is slated to arrive later this evening as the system gains strength. Initially the snow levels will be around 8000′ or so and drop quickly early Tuesday morning to the 6000′ level. 6-12″ is expected at the 8000′ level so keep your fingers crossed for temps to come in colder and a bit earlier as that could push the elevation for snowfall down to 5K possibly. It’s a great time to take a lesson or just bring the Family up for some tubing fun. We’re about “Pure Mtn Fun” so come check us out this Winter !!!!! stay tuned………………………….

Hey Good People! It's Snowing & Come on Up & Get Yer Turns In! ~ Mattly Trent

Posted by: thepinetree on 01/06/2018 09:32 AM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Come on up and get yer turns in. Conditions are really good despite the lack of snow in the Sierra Nevada. 2" of new snow overnight as the temps have started to cool down and snowfall is happening as I write! A chance of snow will continue throughout the day as the hhigh will come in around 39F with SSW winds from 15-23mph. Sunday looks to be mostly sunny as the fast moving low exists East. A return of snowfall looks to begin again on Monday evening as temps again cool down in our favor. Another day after that then high pressure looks to make it's return. It's a great time to take a lesson or just bring the Family up for some tubing fun. We're about "Pure Mtn Fun" so come check us out this Winter !!!!! stay tuned..........

Hey Good People! Come on Up & Get Yer Turns In. ~ Mattly Trent

Posted by: thepinetree on 01/02/2018 11:50 AM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Come on up and get yer turns in. Conditions are really good despite the lack of snow in the Sierra Nevada. High pressure continues to stay put off the West Coast and will bring another day of partly cloudy skies to the Central/NorCal region. A high of 53F looks to be on tap as the long wave radiation will stay trapped within today's cloud cover and winds look to be NE up to 6mph in the a.m. then variable later in the day. An upper low will skirt the Northwest region of the state Wednesday and bring slight chances of rain then Thursday it moves a bit East and continued unsettled weather will be around into the weekend. Some cooler temps may give way to snowfall but that mostly looks to be above pass levels for the Sierra Nevada at this time. Sunday a weak high ridge of pressure will arrive then quickly exit by Monday and more unsettled weather is in store. It's a great time to take a lesson or just bring the Family up for some tubing. A very Happy Holidays to all, we're about "Pure Mtn Fun" so come check us out this Winter !!!!! stay tuned....

Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau Sets Programs to Reach More Visitors in 2018

Posted by: thepinetree on 01/02/2018 06:45 PM
Sonora, CA...To reach aggressive visitor attendance goals in 2018, the Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau, the area’s destination marketing organization, has taken some bold steps, including international outreach in public relations and tourism, addition of staff, credentialed assessment of County for tourism growth, and new marketing programs. One major effort is to expand visitation year-round to Tuolumne County, as well as promote its lesser-known assets. A renewed focus will promote meeting space and group activities that can take place in the shoulder season and mid-week. “Tourism numbers continue to increase year over year but there are definitely times when we’d like to see more visitors,” stated Lisa Mayo, TCVB Executive Director. “Creating programming and messaging which focuses on assets beyond tourist favorites should increase overnight stays through the year when our lodging partners have occupancy.” Joining the TCVB Team to help with this effort is Katie Kirkland, Communications and Tourism Manager. Kirkland will also be handling public relations outreach in California and beyond.

Hey Good People! Perfect Time For Lessons & Getting Your Family On The Slopes In Bear Valley!

Posted by: thepinetree on 01/01/2018 01:43 PM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Partly cloudy skies abound this morning as the trough presses closer to the West Coast this morning. Long wave radiation will keep things around 52F for the high today due to the cloud cover and wind will be SSE predominantly from 2-7mph. Unsettled weather will arrive Wednesday and hang around into the weekend. Warm temps will again bring snow levels up to and above pass levels so any chance of snowfall will be at the peak levels for the next 4/5 days. Next weak a series of soft pulses will move across NorCal and stay mostly above I-80. Change still looks in order for the 7th-9th of January as the axis tilts in our favor for snowfall production but that’s still a week or so away. Fungers crossed good people!!!!! It’s a great time to take a lesson or just bring the Family up for some tubing or a try at the climbing wall we have set up off the Lower Breezeway deck. A very Happy Holidays to all, we’re about “Pure Mtn Fun” so come check us out this Winter !!!!! stay tuned. New Year’s Day. Partly sunny, with a high near 52. Southeast wind around 7 mph. Tonight
Partly cloudy, with a low around 38. East southeast wind around 6 mph. Mattly
