Mountain Ranch, CA...Calaveras County Embraces Free Music in the Parks. For over two decades, Calaveras Arts Council has hosted free summer concerts. Music in the Parks 2013 will be another great music series. Tonight to change the tunes a bit, B-Side, a sound of the 60’s performs in Mountain Ranch at the Community Park on June 26. Bring your dancin’ shoes...
Last week on June 19 Rupert Duncan Country Band, played to a full park at Angels Camp's Utica Park. They sang good ol’ country western. Photos above and video below

The owners of Coyote Creek Grill wish to express their thanks for the wonderful year they've had and to all the residents of Calaveras County who came by and supported a budding restaurant. The owners have had to close the Coyote Creek Grill due to personal reasons including the need to spend more time with their families. |

"Hotel Hell" In Full Production At Murphys Hotel |

Murphys, CA...The trailers, equipment, lighting, portable event tents, film crews and and more are in place and "Hotel Hell" production is underway. Gorden Ramsey was reportedly arriving at 7pm on Saturday night and he and his crew will be working with hotel management and staff to take Murphys Hotel up another rung or two on the ladder of success. During filming "Hotel Hell" and it's crew and guests are the only patrons of the Hotel and Murphys Hotel will reopen to the general public on Wednesday. In our conversations with some of the crew they mentioned how "Cute" Murphys is and we hope that and all of Calaveras County is helped in the process....

CWA's Sold Out Passport Weekend Rolls On |

Murphys, CA...The Calaveras County Winegrape Association's Passport Weekend rolls on. There is music, food and of course wine overflowing Main Street in Murphys and many of the wineries in the area. We were out and about and got a few shots Friday night and yesterday. Friday night started off with a reception in Murphys Community Park. Passport weekend was sold out even as it got underway. Yesterday we did hear that Chatom had a few passports stashed away for those who just had to participate...
