Angels Camp, CA...Our community’s most spectacular holiday presentation is just around the corner. Every year, Studio 4 Dance Theater dazzles and amazes audiences with the precision and elegance of its dancers in the timeless and heartwarming story of “The Nutcracker” ballet. The performance runs December 15-17, 2016 at the Bret Harte Theater in Angels Camp. This year, tickets purchased in advance are priced lower than tickets available at the door. Opening night (6pm on Thursday) advanced tickets are $15/adult; $12/youth ages 13-17; $9/children 12 and under; tickets at the door are $18/adult; $15/youth ages 13-17; $12/children 12 and under. Friday and Saturday evenings and Saturday matinee (1pm) advanced tickets are $17/adult; $12/children 12 and under. At the door, tickets are $20/adult; $15/children 12 and under. Mark Twain Returns To Mother Lode For Only Four Performances

Columbia, CA...Acclaimed actor and former Tuolumne County resident Randy Maple will chronicle Mark Twain’s life in a narration drawn from the wealth of his writings in his one-man show, “Mark Twain: Wit and Wisdom of an American Legend,” December 9-11. After a 13-year hiatus from stage, Maple resurrects Twain’s spirit and relevant cultural commentary for four performances only at the Fallon House Theatre in this unique benefit for Sierra Repertory Theatre.

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! As the day begins clear skies will be in effect before the arrival of more snow. By 10am we could see snow start to fall and continue into Monday morning. 1-2" is expected today with another 4-8" tonight and then another possible 1-3" is on tap for Sunday. The high today could reach 35F and winds will increase from 11-20mph with gusts to 30mph as the system makes it's way into the area. This active pattern will spill over into Monday then we should see clearing on Tuesday with a return of more snow on Wednesday. Colder temps will be the thing over the next week so dress warm and brag yer gear. Cub Chair will be the only Chair running this weekend with access only to Cub Meadow. Winter is upon us and we're getting ready to share our "pure mountain fun" ethos.

Bear Valley, CA....Bear Valley will kick off the 2016-17 winter season today thanks to snowmaking and a little help from Mother Nature. Cub Chair lift will start turning at 9 a.m. and guests will have the opportunity to enjoy an entire weekend of skiing, snowboarding and family activities. The inaugural weekend kicks off with special pricing of $49 for adult and teen lift tickets. The weekend will also feature Bear Valley’s annual Winterfest Celebration in Bear Valley Village, with fun activities for the entire family, bonfires, movies, great food and more. In addition, the Bear Valley Cross Country area opens on Friday, November 25 as well. White Pines, CA...November 25, 2016 at 6:30pm we will be holding the 2nd annual Christmas in White Pines Parade of Lights. Join us as we light up Blagen Rd and enjoy the parade of light floats. There will be a large Christmas tree lit up in the park at White Pines.
Jackson, CA...It is almost everyone's favorite time of year, Christmas, and with Christmas come Santa Patrol!!! The Jackson Fire Department along with Santa and all of his helpers will be visiting all of the neighborhoods in Jackson yet again. Starting December 15th, for 4 nights we will be patrolling the streets, bringing joy and candy canes to all the good boys and girls of Jackson. Santa will begin his rounds starting around 6:00 pm. We will also be collecting canned food for the Interfaith Food Bank of Amador County to help those in need.
