Columbia, CA...Sierra Repertory Theatre has awarded the preview performance of its production of the hit Broadway musical “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” to Mind Matters to be used as a major fundraiser. “We think this is a great way for people, young and old, to enjoy a wonderful evening in the theatre while helping Mind Matters to pursue its goal to help individuals and families cope with the consequences of autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and learning disabilities,” says Mona Kayton, the Mind Matters board member who is in charge of organizing the event.

Bear Valley, CA...Now in its 50th year, the Bear Valley Music Festival begins on Friday, July 20 and runs through Sunday, August 5, 2018 with a total of 15 concerts including a special free family matinee on Sunday, August 5. The festival showcases a wide selection of artists and genres including rock, classical, Broadway and jazz.
Sonora, CA...The Bureau of Reclamation announced today its 2018 summer interpretive program and activity schedule for New Melones Lake, located in Calaveras and Tuolumne counties. All program presentations will take place at the Amphitheater in the Glory Hole Recreation Area unless otherwise noted. Programs are free, suitable for all ages and do not require reservations. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
