The Calaveras Winegrape Alliance will host its monthly Wines of the World, Thursday, July 11 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. At the Murphys Historic Hotel in Murphys, at 5:30pm. The Nugget, 75 Big Trees Road in Murphys, is a biker friendly place where you can relax, get something to eat, enjoy a drink, play pool and have a good time. Karaoke is happening on Thursday nights and the 4th of July is on Thursday! Angels Camp, CA..Utica Park in Historic Downtown Angels Camp played host to the Sixth Annual Murphys Angels Car Show. This is a great show with a large collection of beautiful rods, customs and more. In addition to the beautiful rolling art there were lots of booths and vendors to keep the crowd fed, hydrated and accessorized. We would like to thank Dr. D. Paar for the great shots below of every entrant. Participating car clubs are listed inside. All proceeds from the show will help the Lions Club's Charitable Efforts...

Murphys, CA...As the Redbuds bloom amidst the beautiful, bustling town of Murphys, CA, thoughts of summer begin to buzz like the bees. For the staff, artists and patrons of Murphys Creek Theatre, visions of magical evenings filled with warm laughter and cool gentle breezes amongst the shadows of the oaks begin to come alive and dance in anticipation… For summer is the season of M.C.T.’s annual outdoor Shakespeare Festival at the Cornelia B. Stevenot Amphitheatre in Murphys, and their 19th season already promises to be very special and exciting!
Editor's Note: We were able to catch part of a performance last weekend. This show and venue are an event to see!!! Upgrades to the Cornilia B. Stevenot amphitheater, sparkling sets, a vineyard setting and a great show. Above are shots we took last weekend and a short video clip is below..
