Party At The Cajun Fete On August 1st |

Sheep Ranch, CA...The summer is packed with lots of fun, music, festivals, specialty events and more. On Saturday, August 1, 5:00pm to 10:00pm, the Calaveras Arts Council turns the sleepy town of Sheep Ranch into a Louisiana bayou without the alligators and humidity. Their dinner dance fundraiser, the Cajun Fete, will once again dress up the historic 100 year old Pioneer Hotel grounds with festive lights, Cajun beads, tables with silent auction items, zydeco music and more. Seating is limited. Ticket prices for five hours of fun, food, and music is $65.00. If you have a bit of the volunteer spirit in you, call the art council. Volunteer tickets are discounted. Blues band Julie and the Jukes to Mountain Ranch for Calaveras Arts Free Music in the Parks |

Mountain Ranch, CA...Sacramento based blues band Julie and the Jukes play pure, classic blues at Calaveras Arts free Music in the Parks on Wednesday, July 22 in Mountain Ranch at the Community Park. Music begins at 6:30pm. Bring your low back chairs, picnic dinners, favorite beverage along with you to make a full, fun evening with friends, family and great music. If you prefer not to hassle with dinner, purchase a dinner of chicken and beverage from volunteers of the Youth Alliance. Dinners are sold from 5:30pm to 6:30pm for $10 each. The cost in nominal and the proceeds support their good work.

Bear Valley, CA...New attractions and Enhancements to Bear Valley Village and the Ski area are underway. Adventure Park in the Village, Bear Valley has begun installation of a Bungy trampoline and ropes challenge course. Ropes course is now open and Bungy will open pending completed state inspection - projected opening is Saturday July 11th. Store Hours are 9am-6pm, Attractions are open 11am-6pm thur-monday. Other additions include a new beginner mountain bike trail accessible just outside the Bear Valley Lodge. For information visit REBA sports.
