Bear Valley, CA....1 inch of snowfall fell overnight as yesterday's storm system left the area making skiing and riding perfect. Today will bring the first day of clear weather as a strong high pressure ridge will build bringing beautiful warm California spring temperatures for next several days. Couldn't ask for better weather for this weekend's events. Full Snow report enclosed....

Bear Valley,CA.....Mostly cloudy skies today with isolated snow showers this afternoon and tonight. This system is weak as it approaches the Sierra and we are not expecting much snowfall. Tomorrow thru the weekend will bring sunny skies. Don't forget, April is "Learn to Ski and Board" month offering huge discounts on lesson packages for the entire family! Full snow report enclosed....

Hello to all you fishermen, ready and eager to get fishing. Sierra stream fishing opens Saturday, April 26, 2008. Access to the Stanislaus River will be limited to Calaveras Big Trees State Park and Boards Crossing Road in Dorrington. The Gate to Beaver Creek through Sourgrass crossing should be open by then. NCPA anticipates having Spicer open by Memorial weekend, depending on the snowmelt and weather. For an update on the road to Spicer you can call 209-728-1387. Alpine still has quite a bit of snow around it. Hobart Creek is not open until JULY 1ST 2008!.....

Murphys, CA...In Addition the the great shots Hanna Heath took of Little League Opening Day, we also stopped by the venues and took a bit of video as the season gets underway. The Ebbetts Pass Little League kicked off their season at Feeney Park in Murphys on Saturday morning. The place was buzzing with activity as the kids started swinging. It also seemed a bit like a neighborhood block party as all the familiar faces are back together for another season...

Calaveras American Little League~ By Hanna Heath

Angels Camp, CA….One hundred and eighty little league players participated in the annual Calaveras American Little League Opening Ceremony, Saturday morning. The league has participants from the Mark Twain School District. Children as far as copper play in the Calaveras League. The teams started their season last week and will continue to play through June first….

Angels Camp, CA....The Bret Harte swim team has been trying their hardest with their facility and the amount of swimmers on the team this year. Even though they have lost several meets they have been swimming hard with great spirit and bliss. They will keep swimming until they can't swim anymore.
