Sender's Market's Weekly Ad & Grocery Specials Through May 12th

Mountain Ranch, CA...In 1950, we started out as a family operation with Erich’s father and mother, August and Freida Sender, in a century-old adobe building. The upstairs was home to the Sender family, and the first floor included groceries, a meat market, a bar, and a small eating place called Opa’s Smokehouse. On Christmas morning in 1968, the old store was destroyed by fire. But in June 1969, Sender’s Market, Inc. was opened. Since that time, there have been many changes, including remodeling, expansion, and the addition of many employees. That’s also when we added the truss plant and purchased Sender’s Market Ace Hardware in Valley Springs. Today, we're still family owned and still working hard to stock everything from pantry essentials to power tools. Whether you've got questions about the perfect cut of meat or the right kind of paint, our helpful, knowledgeable staff has you covered.

Calaveras County Health Officer Rescinds Local Order and Clarifies What Local Businesses Can Reopen Today
Posted by: thepinetree on 05/08/2020 03:09 PM
San Andreas, CA...On Friday, May 8, 2020, the Calaveras County Health Officer rescinded the Local Public Health Order and Emergency Regulations. This latest move results from Governor Gavin Newsom’s May 7, 2020 announcement that the State will be entering Stage 2 of the re-opening plan beginning on May 8, 2020. Stage 2 authorizes some low risk business activities as long as they comply with the state-mandated conditions. “Low-risk” businesses such as clothing stores, florists, bookstores, sporting goods retailers, etc. will be allowed to re-open for curbside pick-up only starting today. These businesses will need to operate under specific adaptations to allow for increased social distancing, safeguards for their employees, and increased sanitation. While the Health Officer Order is rescinded and certain businesses are allowed to reopen in a modified way, the Stay-At-Home Order by the State of California will remain in place.

Due to the COVID $0 bail order still in effect, Dehart was set to be booked and released back into the public. Deputies believed Dehart posed a significant danger to the public due to the multiple pending cases against him and the recent vehicle pursuit. The threat to public safety caused the deputies to file a request for bail increase (PC1269) thus, forcing Dehart to post bail prior to his release. The order to increase bail was approved by the Superior Court Judge Healy. Dehart remains in the Calaveras County Jail with a $350,000 Bail.
