Sender's Market's Weekly Ad & Grocery Specials Through March 10th |

Mountain Ranch, CA...In 1950, we started out as a family operation with Erich’s father and mother, August and Freida Sender, in a century-old adobe building. The upstairs was home to the Sender family, and the first floor included groceries, a meat market, a bar, and a small eating place called Opa’s Smokehouse. On Christmas morning in 1968, the old store was destroyed by fire. But in June 1969, Sender’s Market, Inc. was opened. Since that time, there have been many changes, including remodeling, expansion, and the addition of many employees. That’s also when we added the truss plant and purchased Sender’s Market Ace Hardware in Valley Springs. Today, we're still family owned and still working hard to stock everything from pantry essentials to power tools. Whether you've got questions about the perfect cut of meat or the right kind of paint, our helpful, knowledgeable staff has you covered.

Enjoy a Great Weekend in the Mountains! Remember...Sunlight is the Best Disinfectant! |

Arnold, CA...Yes, we all know Covid-19 fever is quite literally spreading in certain parts of the globe and in the US. A sneeze can spread a virus up to 6 feet. So what to do? Well you can pray the bug doesn't find you and self isolate at home and peer out at the world through one of your screens. Or you can head out into the great outdoors, keep a safe distance from all those pesky human petri dishes and naturally boost your immune system with fresh air, sunshine & ski, ride, walk, golf or play with us. All of our counties have less than 20 people per square mile. Your can help keep our local small businesses humming along as well. Put the old adage of "Sunlight is the best Disinfectant" and UV to a practical & fun use! Calaveras, Tuolumne, Amador & Alpine counties all have less than 20 people per square mile! :)

Girlfriend is the Calaveras County Animal Services Pet of the Week |
Posted by: thepinetree on 03/05/2020 10:00 AM

San Andreas, CA...Calaveras County Animal Services Pet of the Week. Meet Girlfriend, an American Staffordshire mix estimated to be about six years of age and weighing in at a sturdy 70 pounds. “Staffies” are rock-solid, clever and brave, pouring a gallon of dog into a quart-size container. Though strong, this lovely lady walks well on a leash and listens attentively. She is quiet in her kennel and will sit for treats. Girlfriend came to us with Sprite, a smallish male whom she adored but prefers to be in charge and the only dog (unless a submissive male like her pal, Sprite). Girlfriend does, however, love to spend time with volunteers and very much enjoys all handling and snuggles. She may also be housebroken since she keeps her kennel clean.
