Major Injury Motorcycle Accident on Hwy 4

Murphys, CA... A 51 year old Arnold man was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Highway 4 on the Utica Grade at an extremely high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate a right hand curve. After crossing into and over the opposing westbound lane, he struck a rock embankment and was fully ejected. He was subsequently air lifted to Doctor's Medical in Modesto with major injuries while his motorcycle received moderate damage. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision and he was arrested for DUI at the hospital. (CHP release enclosed)...

Murphys, CA...If anyone wants to bring sweets for sale, they can help us turn sugar into $$$ by bringing to the event. It starts at 5p with a Mexican Buffet ($15 at the door) and you can buy a glass of some great local wines. Bingo starts at 6p and bake sale open until 9p. Darlene has put together some beautiful baskets that have been showcased by many local businesses. You can buy your raffle tickets at the event & take home one of her creations. Hipsters welcome!

Murphys, CA...May 24-25, 2013 - Memorial Day Weekend Sale at the Native Daughters - Friday and Saturday of Memorial Weekend, from 9-3 at 268 Main Street, Murphys. Outdoor booth space is available behind the hall in the parking lot. Spaces are 10' x 10' for $25; and are going fast! Native Daughters will be selling yard sale items inside the hall.
