Accomplice Opens Friday At Murphys Creek Theatre |

Murphys, CA...Murphys Creek Theatre presents: Accomplice, by Rupert Holmes, directed by Maryann Curmi opening Friday March 27 and running through April 26th. Performances on Friday and Saturday evenings begin at 7pm, with Sunday matinees at 2pm. “Accomplice” has more twists than a head full of dreadlocks. Prepare to be deceived, dazzled, delighted – and then be sworn to silence. Murphys, CA...Elizabeth Kindrick passed away in her sleep the morning of March 6th 2015 at the young age of 19. She was a mother, a daughter, a sister, a girlfriend, a cousin, and a friend. Elizabeth and her boyfriend were currently living together in Murphys, CA. Together they just had a gorgeous baby girl named Gabriella Duran. She is six weeks old. Some of the money will go to Gabriella. Liz was always thinking of how to make others happy and how she could bring a smile to someones face. She loved to draw and doodle. Elizabeth was a beautiful person who will be dearly missed by so many. We thank everyone in advance for their donations, kind words and love.

Mark Twain Medical Center Announces 6th Annual Spring Health Fair & Lupus Awareness Fun/Run Walk |

San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) will be holding its 6th Annual Health Fair and Lupus Fun/Run Walk on Saturday, March 28th from 8am until noon at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys. Over forty community health related service groups will participate in this community-wide event. A wealth of information will be available on topics such as senior health services, health insurance, nutrition, and fitness. Low cost testing and services include Blood Analysis ($45), and Bone Density Screenings ($10). In addition to the five-panel blood analysis (this test consists of a chemistry panel, thyroid, complete blood count, lipid panel, iron for women, and PSA for men), the Medical Center will also now screen for vitamin D deficiencies....

Our retail business is located near a service station in a much visited nook of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Over the years, while fueling their vehicles, many people, from all over the United States, have come to our garden center to visit and stretch their legs. The most often heard remark from these visitors is some version of “I can’t believe the selection you offer here. Our local garden center closed and now all the big box chains offer the same few plants.” We knew we had quite a selection, but we didn’t know how unusual our offerings were.
