"The White Sheep of the Family" Closes This Saturday |

Murphys, CA...."The White Sheep of the Family" closes Saturday, April 26, at the Black Bart Playhouse, 580 S. Algiers St., Murphys. The "felonious comedy in three acts" plays at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday; the box office opens at 7:30 p.m. For more information, or to make a reservation, call 728-8842. Tickets cost $12 for children and seniors; $15 for adults and may be purchased at the box office or in advance at www.murphysblackbartplayers.com. Angels Camp, CA...This morning we stopped by Angels Camp Bypass Construction along Rolleri Bypass. We were able to catch one of the construction foreman from Teichert Construction. The current economic climate has been an advantage for this project so far. Teichert was able to bring there ace crew for this project. The crew even has a distinctly local flavor with one person on the crew from Angels Camp and more from Valley Springs. The rest are from the Stockton Area. They have been making incredible progress. The road grading for the section from Rolleri Bypass to Hwy 4 is already roughed in. They are now attacking the hill between Rolleri and Angels Camp...

San Andreas, CA...After a round of public meetings, including a study session with the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors, and much public dialogue we can report the following to you. We confirmed that the Building Department changed the way they “interpret” our current Fire and Life Safety Code mid year 2007. They were strongly challenged for taking this new position and we did have some limited success in softening the impact. Where the mitigation since 1992 was to pave the driveway, that is no longer the rule of the land....

Maureen Elliott took these pictures on Monday morning after the weekend freeze that damaged many grape crops in Calaveras county....."I just took these photos of the grapevines at the Indian Rock Vineyard on Pennsylvania Gulch Road, Murphys this morning. They must have ran the sprinklers over night and it froze." Maureen Elliott...Remember we always happy to put up your fun photos if you want to share with our viewers....
