Calaveras Humane Society Bids Farewell to President Seiler

Posted by: John_Hamilton on 06/25/2012 09:57 AM
San Andreas, Calif. – After serving his promised, one-year term as president of the Calaveras Humane Society, Bob Seiler is moving on and moving away. The 21-year Arnold resident recently sold his home as part of his family’s long-term, personal goals and will be moving to Placer County, Calif. “Our long range plan has been to downsize and move to a less remote area, now that we are retired and empty nesters,” said Seiler. “We decided to put our home on the market, thinking that it would take at least the summer to sell. We were shocked that it sold in just about a week and that we’ll be moving in early July.”...

Bob in the CHS Van in Last Year's Arnold Parade...He is Instructing a Safe Driving With Pets Class :). The Seiler Family will be missed and for many years their company SG Marketing was one of the largest employers in the Arnold area. Thanks for everything you did for Calaveras County!!!

Letter to The Editor on Law Enforcement Funding~by Al Segalla

Posted by: John_Hamilton on 06/14/2012 08:22 AM
Copperopolis, CA..."It seems funding for our sheriff department is way below the per population amount of neighboring counties. This apparently has resulted in increased crime with the losses of victims paying the price for the delayed response time caused by the underfunding. At what point does lack of wisdom on the part of our elected leaders morph into being accessories after the fact?....

And the Score Is? Election Night in San Andreas!! ~By John Hamilton

Posted by: John_Hamilton on 06/06/2012 09:36 AM
San Andreas, CA...Election Nights have become almost a ritual for us over the last 7 years. ThePineTree.net endeavors to provide the fastest results for you as the numbers roll in precinct by precinct. The crowds are fewer now as many of you know the results will show up in close to real time online. There is still something about watching the numbers change as the precinct boxes return from across the county. This is real human drama in action. It takes guts and courage for the contestants to place themselves on the ballot. They become the product they are selling. Will missteps from their past doom their chances? Will old allies stick by them for one more election cycle? Can the new players on the field raise their name recognition high enough to give them a chance?....

Above...The final results just before 11pm. The Record's Dana Nichols & Candidate Mike Dell'Orto, Supervisor Tofanelli Checking results with CAO Boyce....more above.
