On Monday, October 25, the Copperopolis Area Business Association (CABA) will once again hold the annual Charity Golf Tournament at Saddle Creek Golf Resort jointly sponsored by Copperopolis Parks & Recreation and Lake Tulloch Lions Club. Golfer entry fee is $95, which includes lunch, dinner and cart usage....

Copperopolis, CA....Wednesday evening September 22, 2010, Russ Thomas held a community Town Hall meeting for residents of Copperopolis to answer questions and present information regarding the community plan, which covers approximately 3,500 acres known as the Copper Basin. Originally, the Community Plan Committee (CPC) was faced with the decision to base their plan on the coming ten to twenty years yet “realistically plan out 40 to 50 years (planning) including roads, sewer, electricity, … and all build out of the community.” Pointing out that in the Modesto area up to “300k people live in the same acreage…the CPC did not want that density.”....

Copperopolis, CA...LCPL Jeff Belluomini USMC of Copperopolis ,Ca returned home after deployment to Afganistan stationed at Camp Bastion Kandahar, attached to the Marine Air Logisitics Support, MALS 16 Division 1 out of Marine Corps Air Station Mira Mar Ca as an aviation mechanic. Jeff earned a meritorious award for outstanding service while deployed and has two years left with Corps then plans on attending college after his discharge.....

At the Copperopolis Fire Protection District Board of Directors meeting held September 16, 2010, it was reported that an Engineer position was terminated; Engineer Hamilton, previously placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation was dismissed. Copperopolis, CA...This notice is to advise you that the Tri-Dam Board of Directors has decided, at its meeting of September 16, 2010 that the Oakdale Irrigation District and South San Joaquin Irrigation Districts will not participate in the flow study, as previously contemplated. Water levels within Tulloch Reservoir for the fall/winter 2010 will adhere to the United States Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) schedule recently distributed to area residents, agencies and other interested parties.... |

Copperopolis, CA...THE MARKETS: After taking one giant step back on Tuesday followed by three baby steps forward on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, U.S. stocks managed to rise into positive territory for the second straight week. Although September is traditionally the worst performing month of the year for equities, stocks have been on the mend so far as reports on the labor market, manufacturing, and business activity have been better than expected. Recent economic reports are confirming that while the rate of economic recovery has slowed, it's still on a positive trajectory...
