Hey Good People! 12" of New Snow Overnight 33" for the Storm Total.

Posted by: thepinetree on 02/03/2019 11:59 AM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Oh man.........11" of new snow overnight and 32" for the storm total so far!!!! As cooler temps begin to play into the snowfall mix we'll see some lower elevation snowfall today and through Tuesday. Today a high of 32F is in order with South winds from 20-30mph and gusts into the mid 40's possibly. 13-19" of new snow is expected today with another 21-27" for tonight, 21-27" Monday and 15-21" Monday night before the storm makes it's exit East. Yesterday was an epic pow riding day and despite some breezy conditions all I saw was smiles across the mile. Wind will be a big factor in the next few days so some delays could be possible. The Grizz will be closed today due to Avalanche hazards and mitigation work. All ya'll Travel safe, drive a bit slower and get yer pow game on! Unsettled weather should stick around until Wednesday then high pressure returns. The Mountain now has all aspects open for your skiing & riding pleasure so come check us out as Hwy 4 is the easiest access to any resort on the Western Sierra Slope. Remember, we're about "Pure Mtn Fun" so come check us out!

Hey Good People!! Your 1,600 Acre Winter Playground Awaits!! ~ Mattly Trent

Posted by: thepinetree on 02/01/2019 09:49 AM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Ok folks…….here we go! Some interesting snow totals for the next 4-5 days so dig this. Today snowfall should begin around 10am or so with a possible high of 41F and South winds in the teens and gusting into the 20’s or so. We could see up to 1″ fall today then tonight things start to really ramp up. With a few degrees cooler forecasted than the model runs yesterday these totals are very possible. Tonight 6-10″ possible, Saturday 17-23″ possible, Saturday night 8-12″, Sunday 10-14″, Sunday night 14-20″, Monday 12-18″…..so that’s a possible 67-97′!!!!! The big thing will be the temps so pay attention to that as a bit warmer and the lower total is likely , a bit cooler then the 97″ is possible. All said, this storm has very tight surface gradients associated with it so very breezy conditions will be seen during the storm cycle so snow redistribution will be in effect and in some areas the snow storm depth can be higher than noted. All ya’ll Travel safe, drive a bit slower and get yer pow game on! Unsettled weather should stick around until Tuesday then high pressure returns. The Mountain now has all aspects open for your skiing & riding pleasure so come check us out as Hwy 4 is the easiest access to any resort on the Western Sierra Slope. Remember, we’re about “Pure Mtn Fun” so come check us out!
