San Andreas, CA...After decades of need the new Adult Detention Facility is officially underway. The Calaveras Board of Supervisors and the Sheriff's Office thanked the Citizens who voted to support Measure J and the State of California for the AB900 funds which are making the new Jail a reality. The voters passed the bond measure in 2007 with 67.2% percent of the vote....

Arnold, CA...William “Bill” Holstein passed away at the age of 71 on November 26th, 2010 at his home in Arnold. He was born August 17, 1939 in Madison, Wisconsin. Bill graduated from the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse with a degree in Business and History. He moved to California in 1989 and on March 22, 1991 married his College sweetheart, Jill in Concord. CA. He is survived by wife Jill; Sister Alice Holstein, LaCrosse, WI; son Jason and daughter Laura, both of WI; step-daughters Lisa (Gary) Lee of Arnold: Robyn (Danny) Echevarria, Corona, CA; step-son David (Kelli) Teteak, So. Lake Tahoe, CA; 7 grandchildren and 6 step-grandchildren......

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Here comes the Snow and I say……..it’s alright! 10″-18″ possible thru Tuesday night. We could see more thru the weekend and into next week but right now it depends on which Jet Stream will effect us most. We want the Polar influence but the Subtropical tap seems to be stronger. Will the MJO help us out? Let’s all hope for the Polar/MJO!!!! The Grizz Bowl still needs another 2′ plus to open so stay tuned for that!….
