Arnold, CA…The staff, volunteers, and Friends of the Library want to say thank you to attendees, our donors and sponsors, the Loyal Order of the Moose, Women of the Moose and the following individuals and Arnold area merchants for another successful library fundraiser held at the Ebbetts Pass Moose Lodge, Saturday, September 26, 2015. Bear Valley, CA…What do we do in Bear Valley in the middle of October? We Dance! Come on up to Bear Valley Saturday the 17th for our “Pray for Snow” Dance Party. Live music starts at 8pm and there is no cover to come and kick up your heels in snow dance style. Drink specials and discounts for anyone who shows a prior year season pass.

White Pines, CA...Our sincerest gratitude goes out to the amazing folks in our Highway 4 and Calaveras County communities for their generous donations on behalf of the victims of the Butte Fire. Please be advised that the Independence Hall Community Center in White Pines will NO LONGER BE ACCEPTING ANY DONATIONS for distribution at this time. However, if you, or someone you know, is a victim of the fire, and need clothing, furniture, household items, etc., Independence Hall would love to help! We have a limited amount of the following gently used items, available at the Hall to fire victims, at no cost: Clothing, Household goods, Twin beds, Bedding, Furniture, Kitchen items

Arnold, CA...The last outdoor patio party for 2015, with live music and good food, is happening tonight at Sequoia Woods. Open to the public, the venue is on our newly-remodeled patio and deck. The offerings include a German-style buffet dinner followed by live music by Jill Warren’s trio “Jill and the Giants”. This is always a fun event for those who like to dance or just be with their friends in a lovely setting. Come watch the daylight fade and the party lights go on; probably the last chance for this until late spring 2016! Reservations recommended: 795-1000 ext. 1.
