Arnold, CA...There has been a recent run of vandalism with persons unknown destroying real estate “for sale” signs in the Arnold community. In one case on Country Club Drive in Meadowmont they have destroyed three signs already at just one location. We put up a new sign, they destroy it. A game we just don’t want to keep playing. Naturally we would like to bring a stop to this mindless vandalism. Our overriding concern is for the homeowners who need to sell their home. Having signs destroyed doesn’t help owners accomplish their goal of moving. This is clearly not an isolated random act, it is premeditated and occurs over and over and signs are broken into many pieces. We will file a Sheriffs report but naturally we need our community to help us put a stop to these actions. It just doesn’t speak well for our wonderful community to have this happening. You can share any information with us without needing to give your name. Thank you for any help you can offer....
The Seventh Annual Mother Lode Wine & Art Festival Was a Howling Success

Arnold, CA...On August 18th, the Mother Lode Wine & Art Festival benefiting the Calaveras Humane Society made it's 7th Annual Appearance. The venue was Cedar Center Park and the place was packed with local wines, art, music and of course it was a pet friendly event. We have photos and some video of the festivities...

Another Fire in Arnold Last Night...Home Lost on Moran and Russell

Arnold, CA...Last night there was another structure fire in the Arnold. A home was destroyed on Moran and Russell. We just checked in with the TCU Command Center and details are still forthcoming.
White Pines(Not Arnold), CA....Three very lucky winners picked were all local at the White Pines Park Annual Raffle held at The Logging Jamboree on September 1, 2012. The 1st place winner of $500.00 is Randy Fox of Fox Security in Blue Lake Springs, one of the 2-2nd place winners of $250.00 are Stephen and Joanne Rovno of Camp Connell and, the other, is Priscilla Natalia of Avery. All the winners were thrilled, of course, and, even happier that they helped support the non-funded White Pines Park on Blagen Rd. near Arnold....

Arnold, CA...Fire broke out this morning in a commercial building in Arnold, Ca. Right on State Highway 4, and in the center of town. Smoke plumes were black and aggressive....sirens were coming from all directions: And they came. Locals all know how hot and dry it's been. Vacated structures of any kind; be they residential or commercial, are all tinder for a fire, and that's what we had this morning in Arnold....

Murphys, CA...Bisto Espresso in Arnold has opened their second location. The Bistro Espresso in Murphys is located at 350 Main behind the Hovey Wind Tasting Room. Larry and the gang will have all the great coffee, coffee drinks, ice cream, pastries, food and more. They just opened on Friday and they don't even have all of their signage up but this will be a great addition to Murphys. They are open from 6am to 9pm 7 days a week. Bistro in Murphys will no doubt become a fixture of the community just like they have in Arnold....

Arnold, CA...Don and Beverly Fry of Arnold are thrilled to announce the arrival of their second grandchild Jackson Wayne Wallace to excited parents Kristen Fry-Wallace and Charles Wallace of San Jose. Benjamin Roy Wallace is a big brother and Don and Bev's first grandchild. Jack was born August 23, 2012 at 9:59am and weighted at 9 pounds 5 ounces and 21 inches long. The family is all doing well...
