Dorrington, CA.....WEATHER: Just as the previous storms have done, this system rolled in with a lot of rain and finally turned to snow over the midnight hours. By morning we were graced with not less than 18 inches of new snow and the conditions worsened throughout the day. I'm sure we have at least 30 inches total since last night at this point. Temperatures loomed at about 34 degrees - the snow was too heavy and wet for truck plows to move it so the subdivision had to wait for the heavy equipment to arrive to get going today - it was close to noon before I saw the first snow plowing getting done. Bear Valley, CA...With another great weather report for our local economy the white stuff keeps rolling in. Today: Snow. Temperature falling to around 34 by 5pm. South southwest wind between 5 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible...
Bear Valley is at the top followed by Arnold, Murphys, & Angels Camp to show the forecast for the different elevations.

As silly as it seems we wanted to say Happy Birthday to our 2 E.S.P. dogs, Ali and Rion. They are 10 years old now and we call them our E.S.P. dogs since they are our emotional, spiritual and physical therapy dogs. We got them on our 21st anniversary!

Arnold, CA....Lifetime Arnold resident, Maile Lanu McKenna, so sadly passed away on December 20th, 2010 of Natural Causes at Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital. She was 37. A native of Kauai, Hawaii, Maile previously lived in San Luis Obispo. She worked as a receptionist. Maile was a a member of the Arnold Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She is survived by two daughters, Malia and Makala McKenna of Arnold; Her parents, Terry and T. Buck of Arnold; a brother, Jason Buck of Sacramento and a sister, Kelly McKenna of Bend, OR. A Memorial Service will held on Saturday, January 1, 2011......

Thurs December 23 (furlough) Fri-Sat December 24-25 (Christmas Holiday) Tues-Thurs December 28-30 (furlough) Fri-Sat December 31- January 1 (New Year Holiday) and Sat-Sun-Mon January 15-17 (Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday). ARNOLD PATRONS PLEASE NOTE: These dates are in addition to our regular Sunday-Monday closure. Therefore, we will be closed from Wed Dec 23rd through Monday Jan 3rd....
