Arnold SIR Branch 152 Lunch Meeting On Tuesday February 16, 2016 |

Arnold, CA...On Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM, SIR ( Sons in Retirement, Branch 152 ) will hold its Monthly Luncheon meeting at Snow Flake Lodge, 2255 Blue Lake Springs Drive, Arnold CA. The speaker for this months meeting will be Bonnie Nordby. Bonnie was scheduled to talk in September and again in November, 2015 but the Butte Fire and other issues interrupted her appearance. Bonnie is an RN who works for Calaveras County Public Health Services as coordinator of the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program. She supports and coordinates Community Health Volunteers who serve as facilitators for the Free Six Week Healthier Living Managing Chronic Health Condition Workshops, Diabetes Self-Management Workshops and Chronic Pain Self-Management Workshops that are held in locations throughout Calaveras County.

| Avery, CA...Ronald Lee Corpening Sr., better known as "POPS", passed away on January 18, 2016 at Mark Twain hospital. He was 77. Born in Tuolumne County, he was the son of Frank and Beryl Corpening. Ron graduated from Bret Harte High school in 1956. He was employed at Calaveras Cement Co. and California Electric Steel foundry. He moved to Lancaster Ca.in the late 1970's and was employed by Enduro Plumbing as a pipe fitter. In 2005 he moved back to Calaveras County and lived the remainder of his life in Arnold and Avery. |

Lows 15 to 30 higher elevations...28 to 36 lower elevations. No snow accumulation lower elevations...around 1 inch higher elevations. Snow level 5000 feet. Prevailing southwest winds up to 10 mph shifting to the southeast after midnight. Gusts up to 25 mph.
