Off Highway Excursion Injures Nevada Residents

Dorrington, CA...A 29 year old Nevada man was driving his Mazda westbound on State Route 4 at Smokey Ct, at a high rate of speed. He attempted to turn the Mazda onto Smokey Ct and lost control. The vehicle slid in a straight direction traveling off the roadway and onto the south shoulder of State Route 4. The Mazda continued in a southwesterly direction until the front struck a tree. CHP immediately arrived on scene and requested Ebbetts Pass Fire for multiple injured parties.

Minor Injuries To Mountain Ranch Man & Lodi Woman As Toyota Overturns On Hwy 4

Arnold, CA...A Mountain Ranch man was driving Vehicle his Toyota westbound on State Route 4 west of Black Springs Road, at 55 miles per hour. He felt his vehicle slightly slide out of control while traversing a curve in the roadway. He tried to correct the direction of travel and lost complete control of the vehicle. The Toyota veered to the right traveling off the roadway and overturning.

Tree mortality update from Supervisor Michael Oliveira

Sacramento, CA...I have just returned from the most recent Governor’s Tree Mortality Committee meeting in Sacramento and wanted to take a moment to update you with new developments and information. The most recent Ariel Survey of tree mortality was performed on 5/19/16 and is reporting that there are approximately 693,000 dead trees in Calaveras County, and an additional 7.2 Million dead trees in the Sequoia National Forest. There is approximately 37 Million dollars allocated to the USFS for tree removal and has been funded for startup costs for crews working high hazard Counties. In the event of a major wild fire these funds could be diverted if the need arises.

Cottage Springs, CA....Law enforcement is on scene and an air ambulance has been called for some type of altercation along Hwy 4. A tow truck has been called so at lease one vehicle needs to be removed from the scene. Please use caution in the area.
