Angels Camp, CA...Stop by Calaveras Humane Society's Thrift Store Cat Adoption Center in Angels Camp, located in Angels Town Center (240 S. Main St./Hwy 49). We will be open Thursday through Saturday, 11am to 5pm. The ARNOLD Adoption Center will be CLOSED this week, so if you'd like to meet some kitties, make sure you come to our Angels Camp Adoption Center.

Hathaway Pines, CA...Thanks, to those who attended the Candidates night at Bret Harte last week. It was a small crowd, but a lot of candidates were there. You can watch the video on the Pine Tree. The fourth and final Candidate Forum will be held on May 6th at Sequoia Woods Country Club in Arnold from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Thanks to the Calaveras County Economic Development Company for sponsoring the event. I have been “hitting the streets” lately and have met some outstanding folks and have shared some very interesting stories. I look forward to meeting you in the coming weeks...

CPR Raises Thousands For Community Groups And Non-Profits

Mountain Ranch, CA..The Izzy B Community Improvement Project was started in 2012 to memorialize the passing of our young friend, who died of tongue cancer at the age of twenty-one. This year’s recipients include the Mountain Ranch Community Club ($300), the Mountain Ranch Youth Alliance and Resource Center ($500), KQBM Radio in West Point ($500), the Calaveras County Animal Shelter ($760), and Harmony Ranch ($2700.) All funds were donated by CPR supporters. CPR would like to express their sincere gratitude to all of the patients and supporters who contributed to this years fundraiser. We would especially like to thank the local Calaveras businesses who participated in this year’s effort. The Heart of Gold Café in Mountain Ranch and Little Trees Wellness Collective in Arnold both made substantial donations to this year’s effort...

The Annual DSA Dinner, Dance Fundraiser Was Their Best Yet

San Andreas, CA....On April 19th the Calveras County Deputy Sheriff's Association held their annual Tri-Tip Dinner & Dance Fundraiser. It was also their most successful event to date. The San Andreas Town Hall was filled to the brim with the extended law enforcement family in our area. Great food, drinks and a gigantic silent and live auction brought in bid after bid and donation after donation. After all of the donating and auctioning Plan B entertained the crowd...

Full Video Of Law & Justice Candidates Night In San Andreas

San Andreas, CA...With a focus on Law and Justice, Candidates for Sheriff and the two Superior Court Benches gathered for a questions and answer session at the San Andreas Town Hall on April 29. Two half-hour sessions for the judicial candidates were followed by a Q&A session for the Sheriff contenders. The evening started off with a meet and greet hour and the main event started at 7pm. The even provided an expanded look at those vying for the Benches in the Calaveras County courts...

This event was sponsored by the Calaveras Economic Development Company and the County Chamber of Commerce. The next event planned is a Candidates Night at Sequoia Woods Country Club on May 6th. Trey Jarnagin Benefit May 31st at "The Hub" in Arnold's Cedar Center

Arnold, CA ... Not long before this past Christmas, Trey Jarnagin and his family got the news that he is battling a very rare form of lymphoma that affects young children. Many of you may not know Trey personally, but chances are you know someone in his family. The Jarnagin's and some of the their family members have deep roots here (The Klines, the Fassbenders, and the Pyles). Although they have worked hard and will continue to do so, the astronomic costs of getting Trey weekly chemotherapy treatments at U.C. Davis Children's Hospital will be a huge financial burden...
