Mattlys Weather For Dec 11th 2015! 16 Inches Of New Snow!!
Posted by: thepinetree on 12/11/2015 10:12 AM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People!!!! After a slow start yesterday with totals for all Nor Cal resorts coming in way under NOAA's forecasts we picked up 9" of new snow overnight giving a total of 12" for the current storm cycle. Today as the system moves East it could squeeze out another 1-3" possibly during the morning hours and give way to a slight break later tonight then scattered snow through out Saturday. Sunday ramps it right back up again to bring another 9-13" by Mondays end and then a break for the rest of the week. Winds will also be a factor for Sunday event and could get up to the 25-35mph range. Initial warmer temps delayed the arrival of consistent snow fall and with that said the first 3-5" of heavy dense snow that fell makes for a great Sierra base builder!! Cold temps made their way into the area by evening last night and dropped snow levels below the 6000'. It's great set up for the coming weekend so get ready people!
