Over 4 and 1/2 Hours of CCWD Rate Increase Meeting Video

San Andreas, CA...On Wednesday in an over 5 hour meeting the CCWD Board voted to implement part of the proposed rate increases that had raised the communities ire. In a nutshell they are going to implement the first three years of water increases and the first 2 years of sewer increases and then cap the server rates at $90 for years 4 and 5. Literally thousands of rate protest letters had been turned in but not quite enough to block the increase from going into effect. The board however I think weighed the needs of investments in capital improvement projects and the very real financial constraints of their customers.
Over 4 1/2 Hours of Meeting Video Is Above and the Original and Partially Implemented Rate Information is Enclosed..

Camp Connell, CA...The most important meeting to attend this year is the Calaveras County Water District Rate Hearing for the Proposed Rate Increase of 69% for water and 62% for wastewater over the next five years. It will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the CCWD Board Room, 423 East St. Charles St., in San Andreas at 9 am. This Public Hearing will determine if the CCWD Directors will burden the CCWD customers with the most outrageous Rate Increase in the history of CCWD. For 45 days, CCWD has attempted to pull this ill-conceived plan, citing infrastructure repair and capital improvements, over the eyes of the ratepayers, all over the County,...
Arnold, CA... More pictures of the Arnold Parade. Last Saturday was spectacular for those in Arnold - it was a great parade and everyone seemed to be having a great time. There are pictures of the Lions Pancake Breakfast just getting going and later with an incredibly long line, of the Arts and Crafts Fair across the street and of course of the parade entries.
