Camp Connell, CA...The most important meeting to attend this year is the Calaveras County Water District Rate Hearing for the Proposed Rate Increase of 69% for water and 62% for wastewater over the next five years. It will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the CCWD Board Room, 423 East St. Charles St., in San Andreas at 9 am. This Public Hearing will determine if the CCWD Directors will burden the CCWD customers with the most outrageous Rate Increase in the history of CCWD. For 45 days, CCWD has attempted to pull this ill-conceived plan, citing infrastructure repair and capital improvements, over the eyes of the ratepayers, all over the County,...
Arnold, CA... More pictures of the Arnold Parade. Last Saturday was spectacular for those in Arnold - it was a great parade and everyone seemed to be having a great time. There are pictures of the Lions Pancake Breakfast just getting going and later with an incredibly long line, of the Arts and Crafts Fair across the street and of course of the parade entries.

CCWD Completes Repairs Ahead of Schedule

Arnold, CA...CCWD crews have completed the repair in the water main and the system is starting to be pressurized now. Please flush your lines as you may experience dark water which is normal after a pressure cycle in the system. All areas in the system should be fully restored by midnight as they bring all the sections back to full pressure...

Mark Twain Medical Center Health Fair Recap and Cancer Center Update

Valley Springs, CA...On Satruday morning Mark Twain Medical Center held their Summer Health Fair in Valley. Community Heath industry booths and Mark Twain Medical Center and Family Medical Center staff were on hand for free and low cost health screenings and more. Also there were Mark Twain Cancer Center's Michael Helwig the Registered Dietitian and Director Debbie Peterson. They are striving for the best in integrated cancer care close to home.
